$8.4 Million Goes To Building More Assisted Living Homes

The construction of new assisted living homes has been in development after a $8.4 million federal grant that was received by the Taeckens Terrace Nonprofit Christian Ministries. The new assisted living homes will provide housing for low income senior citizens in the area.
Taeckens Terrace Nonprofit Christian Ministries, who already owns two independent senior housing buildings which have provided a few housing and accommodation, is not nearly enough to cater for the large number of seniors who are in dire need of cheaper and more affordable homes.
The grant is going towards building a 61 unit senior center at South State Road and will only house seniors who can longer live independently or do not have family support.

This is a sizeable grant for a much needed cause. The elderly population is growing and as millions of baby boomers enter retirement the demand for assisted living facilities will grow rapidly. Nice job government!

One more thing – government funded nursing homes are much better than privately owned facilities because medicare and medicaid recipients will have easier access to public facilities.
